When new business start-up Newmanology UK Ltd, wanted to establish a strong and recognisable brand identity, they turned to EDGE for help.
The brief was a multi faceted project that started right at the beginning with the creation of a company logo. The client a had a clear idea in terms of the corporate colours it wanted to use as well as the look that was needed to resonate with the target cliente. Following a detailed conversation where the client outlined its aims as a business and the target audience, EDGE went away to turn those ideas into a visual representation of the proposed logo. There were a couple of iterations before the client finally settled on the final design. The design references the nature of the business as an IT consultancy with the ‘bytes’ of information falling into place to create the letter ‘N’. The slate blue darker colour instills a level of corporate stability whilst the paler highlight colour is non confrontational and ‘easy’ on the eye.
Once the logo was approved and supplied to the client in various formats (vector, jpeg, png) for social media applications, it was time to create a business card design. Th finished design is double-sided with one side re-enforcing the brand whilst the back contains all of the contact information. The design had to be clean and professional with the information easy to see.
Managing Director of Newmanology UK, Matt Newman, commented:
It was crucial to get this right at the beginning. The IT consultancy industry is a mature market with many long-established companies. In order to make the right impression it was crucial that the brand identity was strong. The team at EDGE design understood exactly what I was after and was able to take my vision and adapt it to meet both the needs of a brand as well as something that reflects my values”.
With this part of the branding project done the client was able to start the process of meeting clients. The project still has a way to go with other deliverables needed including, Letterhead, Presentation Template and a website.
